'Initial ideas fell to the wayside as technical difficulties were abundant. I get impatient.
Trying wax pencils on a positive seemed the best way to move forward.
The initial figure reference was found in a weird book I found on the street about Cleopatra late one night in Clapham.
I usually don’t work with random images, but in a sense it gave me some breathing room.
In the end I think I wound up where I always am. Which is comforting. Slightly.'
