Alex Michon is based in London. After studying fine art at Goldsmiths she worked with The Clash designing several ranges of clothing for the band. Some of her shirts were included in Mick Jones' The Rock & Roll Public Library at Chelsea Space, London in 2009. Her paintings are mise en scene mini dramas that mix history, literature and political concerns into contemporary re-imaginings. Recent exhibitions include Ornament, Transition Gallery at huntergather, London W1, 2013; Diamond Geezer, WW Gallery, 2012; 400 Women, Edinburgh Festival, 2011; Strip, Sluice Art Fair, Mayfair, 2011; and The Count of Monte Cristo: The Lions’ Den, In-flux, Occupy Space, Limerick, Ireland, 2011.
