Elsewhere / Altrove
Elsewhere / Altrove was produced as the culmination of a project of the same name at Yellow in Varese Italy. In collaboration with Transition Gallery four British artists showed work at the gallery inspired by the theme 'Elsewhere' alongside two Italian artists. They also spent a week in the Varese area. The publication documents the work in the show and work and writings made subsequently inspired by the visit. The subsequent book is part travelogue, part exhibition catalogue. The artists are Cesare Biritoni, Freya Douglas Morris, Archie Franks, Cathy Lomax, Vera Portatadino and Alli Sharma. The perfect bound book is 21x15cm, it has 56 pages and a card cover and is printed in colour and black and white. The text is in English and Italian. Each book comes with an accompanying Isola Madre postcard.
