Alex Michon is an artist, writer and one of the directors of Transition Gallery. She studied for her BA at Goldsmiths and completed her MA in Fine Art at Central St Martins in 2002

Michon has worked with The Clash, and the Slits, designing and making clothes, and has worked as a seamstress for Leigh Bowery and Rachel Auburn. In her art practice she likes to use discarded/charity shop clothing and jewellery in her textile works. She recently collaborated with Turner Prize nominated artist Delaine Le Bas creating a dress made from over 300 hand sewn corsages for an exhibition celebrating Romani art at the Museum of London.
